Gravestones, monuments, and columbariums made of Swedish granite
The loss of a loved one is one of life’s most difficult moments, and a headstone remains with the family for decades. We understand how important it is to honor our loved ones with a dignified and lasting memorial—which is why we approach every project with care and thoughtfulness. Świat z Granitu is a Polish, family-owned stonemasonry business that has been in continuous operation since 1988—spanning two generations—with its own stone-processing facility in Reptowo near Szczecin, located between Szczecin and Stargard.

We specialize in Swedish granite—one of the hardest and most durable materials for gravestones in Europe, which retains its color and texture for generations. Every headstone, monument, or columbarium is crafted in our own facility, equipped with CNC machine tools, splitting machines, automatic polishing machines, and flame-texturing stations. This allows us to craft each piece exactly according to an individual design—as many as 75% of our projects are custom-made. If you have an unconventional idea for a memorial, we’ll take it on where others see limitations.
We support the family every step of the way—from the initial, relaxed conversation and design, through the 3D visualization that you’ll see before work even begins, all the way to production and installation at the cemetery. We create headstones, monuments, columbariums, and lapidaria in Szczecin, Stargard, and throughout the West Pomeranian Province, as well as memorial sites both in Poland and abroad.
Why It's Worth It
Why Swedish granite?.
Built to Last for Generations
Swedish granite (Vanga, Bohus, Bjärlöv Champagne, Halmstadt Gneiss, Black Swedish) is extremely resistant to frost, moisture, and the passage of time—it retains its color and texture for decades.
Design and 3D visualization prior to implementation
Before we begin work, we’ll prepare a design for the headstone and a 3D rendering. You can make your decision with confidence, knowing exactly what the finished memorial will look like.
Our Own Facility and Custom Manufacturing
75% specializes in custom projects. Our machinery (CNC, splitting machines, automatic polishing machines, flame treatment) allows us to produce non-standard shapes, dimensions, and finishes without the need for middlemen.
From design to installation—a family business since 1988
Two generations of stonemasons guide you through the entire process: consultation, design, fabrication, transportation, and installation at the cemetery. One reliable company at every stage.

Good advice
We provide comprehensive installation services at cemeteries in Szczecin, Stargard, and throughout the West Pomeranian Voivodeship—this includes preparing the subbase, placing the components on a stable foundation, and sealing the joints, which ensures the headstone’s durability for generations to come. Tip: When choosing a type of granite, consider not only the color but also the finish—a polished surface is the easiest to maintain, while a flamed finish gives the gravestone a subdued, matte appearance. We always adjust the dimensions of the headstone to comply with the regulations of the specific cemetery.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions.
What material do you use to make headstones, monuments, and columbaria?
We craft them from Swedish granite—one of the hardest and most durable gravestone materials in Europe, resistant to frost, water, and the passage of time. We work with varieties such as Vanga (red), gray and brown Bohus, Bjärlöv Champagne, Halmstadt Gneiss, Swedish Black (Moheda Black), and Tranås. Granite retains its color and texture for decades, ensuring that the memorial remains dignified and enduring for generations to come.
What is a columbarium, and do you build them?
A columbarium is a structure or wall with niches designed to hold urns containing cremated remains. Świat z Granitu constructs both intimate family columbaria and large-scale municipal and parish columbaria—made of Swedish granite—complete with urn niches, plaques, and small architectural features. We have built columbaria, lapidaria, and memorial sites in the West Pomeranian region (including Lipiany, Dobra Szczecińska, Świnoujście, and Dziwnów) as well as abroad—including a columbarium in Lithuania.
Can I see the design of the headstone before it's made?
Yes. We prepare a design and a 3D rendering that will allow you to see the proportions, type, and color of the granite, the surface finish, and the layout of the inscription even before we begin production. You can make your decision with peace of mind and full knowledge of what the finished headstone will look like.
How much does a Swedish granite headstone cost?
We do not publish prices because each project is unique. The cost depends on the type of granite, the dimensions, the shape of the headstone, the type of finish, the number of components, and the scope of work (e.g., installation or a mausoleum). After our consultation and design phase, we’ll prepare a free, personalized quote with a completion date. Just call us at +48 513 007 606 or email us at biuro@swiatgranitu.pl.
