Granite window sills and trim pieces

Window sills, countertops, and cladding are details we see every day, which is why the character of the entire interior and facade depends on their quality. At Świat z Granitu, we craft them from solid Swedish granite at our own stone processing plant in Reptowo near Szczecin (Kobylanka municipality, between Szczecin and Stargard). As a Polish, family-owned stoneworking company operating since 1988, we have been combining traditional craftsmanship with a modern machine park for two generations to deliver granite finishes that will last for generations.

Granite window sills and trim pieces

Granite is a natural material with very high hardness and density—it is resistant to scratches, high temperatures, moisture, and freezing, and is also easy to keep clean. Window sills, countertops, or cladding made of solid granite do not fade, warp, or require replacement after a few years, unlike elements made of composite materials. That is why granite window sills and finishing elements are a popular choice among individual investors, developers, and architects throughout the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Approximately 75% of our projects involve custom manufacturing. We prepare each window sill and cladding for a specific project: we select the type of granite, the surface finish, and the edge treatment, and we handle the entire process comprehensively—from design and visualization, through measurement, to delivery and installation. If you’re looking for windowsills and finishing elements in Szczecin and the surrounding area, send us your measurements or a drawing—we’ll create a solution tailored to your space.

Why It's Worth It

Why Swedish granite?.

Top-quality Swedish granite

We work with proven raw materials from Swedish quarries—including Vanga, Bohus, Bjärlöv Champagne, Gneis Halmstadt, Black Swedish (Moheda), and Tranås. These granites feature a uniform structure, a distinctive pattern, and excellent technical properties.

Custom Manufacturing (75% projects)

Our in-house machinery—including CNC machine tools, splitting machines, automatic polishing machines, and flame-texturing stations—allows us to produce window sills, countertops, and cladding that precisely match the design specifications, with any edge or surface finish.

From Design to Installation

We handle the entire process: consultation and stone selection, design and visualization, precise measurements, production, delivery, and on-site installation. A single contractor is responsible for the entire project—from the initial concept to the finished detail.

Built to Last for Generations

Solid granite is resistant to scratches, high temperatures, stains, and freezing. A well-crafted granite windowsill or countertop will last for decades without losing its color or shape—it’s an investment for years, not just a season.

Interior Granite Window Sill
Interiors

Interior Granite Window Sills

An elegant window finish for any interior—whether in the living room, bedroom, or office. Solid granite is resistant to heat from radiators and sunlight; it does not warp or yellow. We usually polish or grind the surface to fully bring out the stone’s color and grain.

Thickness is usually 2–3 cm; length and depth are cut to fit the window; edges are straight, beveled, or rounded, with a nose upon request.

Exterior window sills

Frost-resistant window sills for the facades of residential and commercial buildings. We manufacture them with a slope and a drip edge that directs water away from the facade. The surface is typically flame-textured or pebbled—non-slip and weather-resistant.

The finish is most commonly flame-treated or pebbled; the profile features a slope and a drip edge; dimensions are tailored to the specific facade.

Good advice

Before installing a granite window sill, always check that the surface is perfectly level and stable. The window sill should be supported across its entire surface—point support can lead to stress and cracks. Use a flexible adhesive designed for natural stone for installation. Ensure the exterior window sill has a slight slope (approx. 2-5%) away from the building. This will allow rainwater to drain freely, increasing the durability of both the facade and the window sill itself.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions.

Do you make custom-sized granite window sills?

Yes. About 75% of our projects are custom-made. We prepare each windowsill and cladding for a specific project—we select the type of granite, surface finish, and edge profile, and handle the entire process from design and visualization through delivery and installation. Simply send your dimensions or a drawing to biuro@swiatgranitu.pl.

What kind of stone do you use for window sills and cladding?

We work primarily with solid Swedish granite—including Vanga (red), gray and brown Bohus, Bjärlöv Champagne, Halmstad Gneiss, Swedish Black (Moheda), and Tranås. These granites have a uniform structure and high resistance to scratches, temperature, and moisture.

What types of granite finishes are available?

For window sills and trim elements, we offer high-gloss polished finishes or satin-finished surfaces with a slight matte effect. Additionally, we offer a flamed and brushed finish, which brings out a texture in the stone that is smooth to the touch while remaining close to its natural appearance. Occasionally, upon special request, we produce trim elements with a beveled edge, which can also be smoothed to the touch through a brushing process.

How much does a granite windowsill cost in Szczecin?

We do not publish price lists because every project is different. The price depends on the type of granite, dimensions, thickness, finish, number of cutouts, and scope of installation.
