At Świat z Granitu, we craft tombs from the highest-quality Swedish granite, combining traditional stonemasonry with modern stone-processing technologies. How does a tomb differ from a double headstone? A double headstone is erected over two adjacent burial plots, usually for two people. A tomb is a structure built over a larger burial chamber—it can accommodate anywhere from two to as many as a dozen burial plots, depending on the design and the regulations of the specific cemetery.
A single tomb is constructed on a single plot and allows for the creation of a burial chamber suitable for multiple burials, in accordance with regulations and the construction plans. A double tomb, built on two adjoining plots, offers significantly greater design flexibility and a spacious family burial chamber—a solution for families planning a burial site for several generations.
